Social Media

Social media is a powerful tool for disseminating awareness and information [1]. Using social media is practically the only way to effectively reach young people in this generation.

Platforms

The biggest platforms today are described here. Smaller platforms exist and should not be ruled out.

TikTok

TikTok is massive. It is easy to start from scratch and there are many methods to grow quickly. It is a must for sharing information.

Instagram

Almost as important as TikTok. Reels is just knockoff TikTok. It is a must.

Facebook

Different demographic than Instagram but same kind of media nowadays.

X/Twitter

Not particularly useful since the acquisition.

YouTube

YouTube is much worse when starting from scratch (Not including Shorts, see the later text) but it may still be helpful to have a presence. YouTube has a massive presence around the world but is mostly focused on entertainment and instructional content. It is unlikely you could start from scratch just using YouTube.

Shorts

YouTube shorts is basically just TikTok. The YouTube rules differ slightly so videos you post on TikTok without issue may be taken down on YouTube.

Using

Post in volume. Quality should be good but not the main focus. It is fine to post the same video on multiple platforms. Make the videos eye-catching and get straight to the point.
